Sleuth reveals timeline of senior DCI officer’s altercation with DJ Joe Mfalme’s team


A senior detective who was allegedly attacked by Joseph Mwenda alias DJ Joe Mfalme’s team was armed during the scuffle, Nairobi News can now reveal.

Felix Kelian Kitosi, was armed with his official firearm which was in his car when he differed with the entertainer’s team after he rear-ended their motor vehicle.

A detective attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Nairobi said that the firearm was inside his Subaru Forester, model.

“He had a place where he used to hide his firearm which he was in a position to reach when the scuffle started but he never,” the sleuth who spoke to Nairobi News in confidence said.

Kelian on Saturday, March 16, 2024, found himself on the receiving end when he bumped into the rear of the vehicle that belonged to DJ Joe Mfalme leading to a fight.

The entertainers had just stepped out of Club Texas Barbeque and were headed home when the incident took place.

After the scuffle and physical exchanges between the officer and the team police officers arrested Mr Kelian and took him to Kikuyu Police Station.

They were joined by DJ Joe Mfalme’s team which was later allowed to leave by the DCI sleuths.

Kelian was thrown into the cells and the arrest was not recorded as the officers allegedly went on battering him.

On the same day, he was released from the station after officers realised that they were assaulting their senior in the National Police Service (NPS).

Kelian was then taken to Lang’ata Police Station before being referred to Nairobi West Hospital where he died on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

His death led to the arrest of the DJ Joe Mfalme’s team and that of the officers.

The officers who were nabbed include; Khadija Abdi, Sammy Rotich, and Agnes Kerubo all attached to Kikuyu Police Station. They were all taken to Riruta Police Station.

Members of DJ Joe Mfalme’s team who were arrested include; the DJ who is the CEO of the group, Mr Allan Ochieng alias Ballo, the bouncer, Mr Erick Kariuki Gathua alias Ricco the groups  DJ  and Mr Simon Wambugu alias Symo the driver.
