Sonko caught hiding booze under the table to sing gospel song – VIDEO
Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko was on Tuesday caught on tape hiding a bottle of whisky as he sang an off-key gospel hymn.
In a rare moment of hypocrisy, the flambouyant Senator is seen hiding the bottle of Johnny Walker Black Label whisky under a table at the Ole Sereni hotel where the Kenya sevens rugby team was being hosted for lunch.
He then proceeds to drunkenly sing the ‘Hakuna Mungu Kama Wewe‘ song to celebrate the rugby team’s victory at the Singapore leg of the IRB Sevens Rugby circuit.
The flamboyant legislator splashed millions of shillings to welcome the Shujaas back home at JKIA.
He received the team at the airport with a fleet of limousines waiting in tow.
The senator also vowed to reward each of the team members with Sh100,000.
