Stocky volleyball queens steal the show at club games
It certainly is a clash of styles at the ongoing Women’s Africa Volleyball Club Championship in Tunisia.
Top Kenyan clubs Kenya Prisons and Kenya Pipeline are competing in the two week event in Monastir, but nothing could have prepared them to locking horns with some opponents, such as Seychelles’ club ARSU.
In contrast to a majority, if not all of the 17 teams in Tunisia, ARSU’s set up literally consists big players, a sight that has caused some murmurs and excitement, especially online.
Despite their advantage in weight, the Seychelles club have struggled to impress, posting losses against Cameroon’s FAP and Egyptian club Shams in the group stages.
Kenya Prisons and Kenya Pipeline have qualified for the quarters and will face off in the last eight on Thursday.
