Sultana actress Bwire Ndubi appeals for financial support in cancer battle

Sultana actress Bwire Ndubi, widely recognized as Dida, has urgently called on the public for financial assistance as she continues her valiant fight against metastatic breast cancer.

With nearly two years of battling the relentless disease, Bwire Ndubi is now seeking to raise Sh7 million to pursue critical medical treatment overseas.

In a heartfelt statement shared on her Instagram account, Dida expressed gratitude for the support received thus far while narrating the challenges she faces.

“Isn’t it funny? How frugal life is? One minute you’re living a beautiful one, and the next, you’re facing demons you never thought you’d face in your entire lifetime,” she shared.

Acknowledging the significance of community support, she emphasized, “It takes a Village to do absolutely anything.” Urgency marked her plea, recognizing the unpredictable nature of life’s challenges.

“I’m coming to the only village I know; please take a moment to stand with me on this journey of recovery by donating anything you can to help me reach the required goal of 7 million shillings.”

In a previous interview with Lynn Ngugi, Bwire shed light on the financial strain posed by the costly breast cancer treatment.

“Every 21 days I require sh100,000.” She explained that, in the face of these challenges, she initially refrained from seeking assistance from fellow Kenyans, relying on family support to cope with the financial burden. “It is a crime to be sick in this country because the medication is so expensive. Every 21 days I require one hundred thousand.”

Bwire Ndubi shared her commitment to battling cancer, assuring supporters that she would provide insights into the daily struggles of a cancer patient.

“About what a day in the life of someone battling cancer looks like, what to do, what not to do. We will try and make it as non-boring as possible,” she promised.

Bwire Ndubi, also known as Dida, rose to fame through her role in the widely acclaimed Kenyan drama series ‘Sultana.’
