TikToker in viral Kanjo car drama loses account, rants at Sakaja

The woman who became the central figure in a viral video capturing a fiery confrontation with a city council officer, commonly known as “Kanjo,” over a parking dispute in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD), has disclosed that her TikTok account was suspended following the incident.

The TikTok influencer, who goes by the name Ntazola Gloria on both TikTok and Instagram, shared the news of her account suspension on her social media page.

She expressed her understanding of the situation and encouraged her followers to connect with her on her new account.

She announced, “So, they’ve taken down my account due to that incident with the Kanjo officer. That’s okay… So, you can now follow me on my new account.”

Ntazila Gloria recounted the heated confrontation with the Kanjo officer, where he forcibly entered her car without her permission, prompting her to confront him. She clarified that this wasn’t an isolated incident and revealed that the officer had harassed her multiple times.

“He’s done this to me multiple times, and I was simply fed up with it. I’m safe, and I’m grateful that people have witnessed the harassment that Kanjo [askaris] subject others to. However, I’ve decided to take a break from TikTok because what happened was just too overwhelming.”

In addition, she used her social media platform to address Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, appealing to him to provide training and guidance to the Kanjo officers.

“I know you are their supervisor and boss. These individuals receive orders, and that’s why they treat people this way. I believe they often have targets, like needing to collect a specific amount of money to deliver to their superiors. Please, talk to them, Boss Sakaja, so that they cease bothering innocent citizens. Some of them are simply trying to make ends meet.”

She emphasized that Kanjo officers should focus their efforts on apprehending criminals and addressing corruption within the city rather than targeting law-abiding citizens.

“Why are you dancing in my car when you should be going after the real culprits? You’re the same people who make life difficult in the country.”

The incident, which unfolded a few hours before Ntazila Gloria’s engagement with the Kanjo officer, ignited discussions about the treatment of Kenyan citizens by Kanjo officers and raised questions about the conduct and authority of these city council officers.

The viral video captures a heated argument between the TikTok and the Kanjo officer as they clash over issues related to traffic flow and parking regulations. The incident has left many amused and prompted further debate on the matter.
