Top state officials to take lie tests in war on corruption – Uhuru

The fight against grand corruption is set to intensify this month after President Uhuru Kenyatta set out tougher vetting for officials in charge of procurement in government.

In his Madaraka Day address at Kinoru stadium in Meru, President Kenyatta announced that all heads of procurement in government will undergo fresh vetting, including polygraph tests.

The fresh vetting will start immediately and end by June 30.

Further, more senior government officials implicated in corruption will be arrested this month, President Kenyatta declared.

He urged Kenyans to engage in the war against graft with the same zeal the country’s founding fathers fought colonialism.
