To support user privacy and control over their content, WhatsApp has begun testing a new feature aimed at preventing the ability to take screenshots or recordings of profile pictures.

When a user endeavors to take a screenshot of a profile photo, the update triggers a notification indicating that they “Can’t take a screenshot due to app restrictions.”
