You were worth waiting for – Banky W serenades wife on birthday


Nigerian singer Banky Wellington alias Banky W has set the internet abuzz with a heartwarming birthday tribute, pouring out his adoration for his beloved wife popular actress, Adesuwa Etomi.

The crooner took to social media to celebrate his wife’s special day, leaving fans swooning over his heartfelt message.

“Happy birthday to the love of my life. The best Mama, the bestest wife,” Banky W gushed in his touching post.

Expressing a depth of gratitude that resonated with readers worldwide, Banky W confessed, “If I had to do it all over again, I’d choose you twice. This must be what winning the lottery feels like.”

Describing his wife as the epitome of beauty, talent, and strength, Banky W left no doubt that she occupies a special place in his heart. “You’re easily, by far, the most beautiful, talented, and strongest person I know. You’re hilarious and kind. I’m honored and grateful to call you mine,” he declared.

But it wasn’t just her outer beauty that captivated him; it was her inner qualities that truly stole his heart. From her sense of humor to her unwavering support, Banky W showered her with compliments, likening her to icons like Michelle Obama and Cardi B, while also cherishing her uniqueness as his “amala-eating-local-girl, obsessed-with-korean-films.”

The couple got married in 2017 in an extravagant event and welcomed their first child Zaiah in 2021.

Adesuwa Etomi started acting at the age of 7 and later moved to the United States at the age of 13. She studied drama and performance at the University of Wolverhampton, graduating with first-class honours.

Aside from acting, she’s also a singer and featured as the video vixen for Banky W’s R&B song “Made for You” before they both got hitched. She started acting professionally in 2014 where she started as the lead actor in the movie “Knocking on the Heaven’s Door” her debut film, alongside other great actors like; Majid Michael, Ini Edo, and Blossom Chukwujekwe amongst others.

She won the Best Actress in a Drama award at the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for her role in the 2015 romantic drama film “Falling”. She has featured in over 100 films and blockbusters such as; “Sugar Rush” “Wedding party” “Sun City” and many others.
