Why Kenyan actress Faith Nduku’s burial has been postponed
The burial of a Theatrix Arts Ensemble actress and team leader, Faith Nduku, has been postponed.
The deceased was supposed to be buried on September 24, 2022, in Kabaa, Machakos County but the date has been moved to September 30, 2022.
According to information seen by Nairobi News on September 23, The Ensemble’s founder, gospel musician and Vioja Mahakamani actor David Alliwah said Nduku’s family was forced to postpone the burial due to unavoidable circumstances.
“Some of the reasons that have necessitated this is to allow time to get funds for the hospital bill and the arrangements. It is my prayer that all who have pledged will honour and help us make this day a success,” Alliwah also said.
He apologized for any inconveniences faced as he reminded contributors that the monies can be channelled to 0716600068.
According to past Nairobi News articles, Faith Nduku was the second fatality following a grisly accident that occurred on August 26, 2022, when a trailer hit the public service vehicle the team had been travelling to Nakuru County at around 4:30 am. The accident occurred in the Karai area near Naivasha.
The matatu rolled three times and landed on its roof. Actor Dennis Mwandoe died at the scene of the accident while others escaped with various degrees of injuries.
The late Nduku sustained serious injuries as it was revealed that she was admitted in critical condition at the Kenyatta National Hospital. It was revealed she had serious injuries to her pelvic-urethra region and a broken right lower limb.
She had been in the hospital since 26th and it appeared she had been getting better until her unexpected demise on September 13, 2022.
“We mourn the demise of our star, a sister, a prayer warrior, a colleague, our leader at Theatrix. Faith Nduku went to be with the Lord today at 3:20 pm at Kenyatta National Hospital.
She had been hospitalized since 26th August 2022 after a grisly road accident at Karai, Naivasha. We are at a loss, pained but we stand to accept the doing of God and celebrate a life well lived,” Alliwah mourned Nduku.
