ODM rolls out mega plans to counter Jubilee’s grandiosity


The Orange Democratic Movement has taken the battle straight to the doorstep of the soon to be launched Jubilee Party.

On Wednesday, ODM’s Director of Elections and Campaigns Junet Mohammed announced a series of activities that the party has lined up to commemorating the party’s 10th anniversary.

Nothing has been left to chance in the preparations with renowned Tanzanian musician Diamond Platinumz set to fly in directly from the USA to entertain guests during the occasion.

ODM’s grand plans comes at the same time the newly formed Jubilee Party is finalizing plans for a massive launch.

Both the ODM’s birthday and Jubilee Party launch will be held from Thursday through to Saturday.

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga will lead opposition outfit staging its event in Mombasa, while President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee team will congregate t the Kasarani indoor gymnasium in Nairobi.

BRANDED BUSES

While the Jubilee party has unveiled 47 branded SUVs ahead of its launch, ODM seems to have countered by showcasing 47 ODM branded buses.

The buses will be flagged off from Mombasa to each of the 47 counties in the country to provide transport for the delegates attending the anniversary celebrations at the coast.

Also, a total 827 vehicles have been donated to ferry extra delegates to Mombasa for the event.

“These vehicles will be branded to comb the entire country mobilizing and rallying people around the 2017 agenda,” Junet’s statement reads in part.

ODM also has plans for a series of roadshows by the thousands of delegates who will include atleast 450 MCAs, 110 MPs, 18 Senators and 10 Governors.

The blockbuster has however been reserved for Jubilee, who have since unveiled a state of the art storied building in Nairobi, which is set to coordinate the party’s activities henceforth.
