Armed gangsters storm vernacular radio station while show is live on Facebook

An armed gang of daring thugs on Friday night stormed the studio of a vernacular radio station in Nakuru County during live programming.

The show was live on various Mwinjoyo FM social media platforms when the masked men casually walked into the studio as a man and woman were engaging the presenter.

Interestingly, the programme was a live Christian show and the guest in a pink t-shirt was all smiles as he engaged the presenters.

A video that captured the incident shows the first masked man in a cap coming into frame with a firearm.

Then two more masked men in caps, brandishing machetes, walk in.

As the first man walks in, he orders the woman and man who are being interviewed move to one side of the studio and lie down.

He then orders the presenter to move to the opposite side of the studio and also lie down.

The gang then asks a man dressed in a white t-shirt to show them where he has placed CCTV cameras in the studio.

At some point, one of them questions the woman what she is doing and starts kicking her.

One of the robbers then says he has checked through his phone and seen that the show is still live and had captured their activities inside the studio.

It remains unclear what the gangsters stole from the studio with our efforts to reach the management proving futile.

Insecurity has been a major concern in the vast Nakuru County, especially with the rise of the notorious Confirm Gang.
