Chinese man arrested in Nairobi with counterfeit ARVs
Police in Nairobi have arrested a Chinese national who was found in possession of counterfeit Antiretroviral (ARV) drugs.
Mr Cheng Xun Tian who was in possession of 100 cartons of the drugs was picked from his home in Kilimani on Friday morning and detained at the Kilimani Police station.
Mr Cheng attempt to explain to the police officers that he is a qualified doctor who was running a registered pharmaceutical business.
“The police picked him and left with him to the Kilimani Police Station,” said Charity Kimani a neighbor.

Kilimani Deputy Police boss Aden told Nairobi News that investigations were on going and that they will take action once they are through.
“It is true we arrested a man of Chinese nationality and investigations are ongoing on the same,” he said.
In January 9 2018, police arrested three Chinese nationals and a Kenyan in Kilimani area where they recovered a live tortoise, dog meat and an assortment of game trophy.
The officers also netted contraband goods that included cigarettes worth Sh 2 million.
