Churchill show comedian Ayeiya was with his wife when he met his death


Police have finally pieced together the circumstance leading to the death of Churchill Show comedian Emmanuel Makori, popularly known as Ayeiya, in an accident on Magadi Road Thursday night.

Police have told Nairobi News that the comedian was with his wife in the vehicle during the grisly accident near Catholic University of East Africa after the they hit an electricity post.

Police also say the comedian was also accompanied by his fellow comedian Paul wa Kimani and actor Maina Olwenya of Nairobi half life fame.

The three passengers survived and were rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital.

“It was a self-involved accident. The driver hit an electricity pole as he tried to negotiate the corner near Catholic University of East Africa junction along Magadi road,” OCPD of Langata Police Station Elijah Maina told Nairobi News.

He added that the investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.

Police are yet to record statements from the passengers who survived the accident.

A close source to the comedian told Nairobi News that Ayeiya had finished the Churchill Show recording, and had passed to Galleria mall with his wife to purchase household goods.

Confirming the death Laugh Industry’s Ken Waudo said; “Guys it’s indeed true Ayeiya is no more. Just called Wakimani’s number, it was picked by a lady by the name Ann. They are at Kenyatta National Hospital. Ayeiya didn’t make it but the wife and Wakimani are admitted. The accident occurred near CUEA. The Premio hit an electric post. That’s the info am getting but yet to confirm the whole story.”
