Davido’s special message to wife amid reports of a split
Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has celebrated his wife, Chioma, on her birthday.
The couple’s relationship had been marred by reports of a separation after Davido sired a child out of wedlock with his baby mama named Amanda who lives in the US.
Reports indicate the affair happened when the singer was getting married to Chioma, and they were both grieving the death of their son, Ifeanyi.
However, Davido has now taken to his Instagram page to share a photo of Chioma, alongside a heartfelt message.
He wrote, “Today I just want to celebrate my right hand! My go-to! Happy birthday baby @thechefchi! God bless you. Your love is timeless. It’s a forever thing I ASSURE YOU! ❤️❤️❤️”
The singer’s fans have been expressing their joy at the couple’s reunion and sending Chioma their best wishes on her birthday. One Instagram user wrote, “One family I pray for all the time. I so much love them. Happy birthday Chi Davido.”
Another fan from Twitter posted, “Even if this rumour is true, Davido will choose Chioma over dem all.”
Davido himself has broken his silence over the allegations on his Twitter account, sharing a cryptic post with the title of one of the songs from his album, “Over Dem All.”
In a recent interview, Davido confirmed that he and Chioma had married in 2022 after the death of their son. The couple solemnized their union on November 6th, 2022, six days after the death of their son Ifeanyi. “Before I went on break, I actually had an album ready. I had it all ready, but we redid the album. I travelled, and I am married. A lot of different things, but we are ready to get back on the road,” Davido said.
Meanwhile, Amanda, who co-parents with Davido, has also spoken out about their relationship. She recently told her fans that she tries to stay drama-free and respect Davido’s space while co-parenting their daughter, Hailey. Amanda also said she was single but looking forward to having three or four children.
