A 28-year-old woman identified as Ms Nelvin Museti lost her life in a tragic incident that unfolded on Sunday, January 14, 2024, in Lang’ata Area, Nairobi County.

The young woman reportedly jumped off the third floor of Ascort Apartments in the early morning hours.

The caretaker of Ascort Apartments, Mr Mwangi, alerted the police after witnessing the horrifying event.

According to the initial police report, Mr Mwangi reported the incident, stating, “there was a lady who had jumped from the third floor of the apartment.”

Upon receiving the distress call, law enforcement officers promptly arrived at the scene, discovering the lifeless body of Ms Museti at the back of the apartment building.

Preliminary reports indicate that she had no visible physical injuries, but blood was reportedly oozing from her nose.

Eyewitnesses, including neighbours, informed the police and Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives that they heard a loud thud, prompting them to investigate, only to find the tragic aftermath.

“The scene was processed by crime scene personnel, and the body, which had no physical injury but blood oozing from the nose, has been moved to the City Mortuary awaiting post-mortem,” the police report stated.

As investigations into the circumstances surrounding Ms Museti’s death unfold, DCI sleuths are working to determine whether foul play was involved, raising the possibility that she may have been killed before the fatal fall.

Ms Museti meticulously curated her social media presence, maintaining a thoughtfully arranged feed.

On Instagram, her bio conveyed a simple yet profound message, stating, “I ain’t much but am all I got. It has been God. It will forever be God.”

Another tribute came from Gift Vukani Masudi, expressing deep sorrow over the sudden departure.

“I’m deeply saddened by your going without saying goodbye. It’s painful to think about what was going through your mind and that you may have felt alone.
