Diamond elicits debate with ‘sister’ gesture on Zari
Tanzanian Bongo Flava artiste, Diamond Platnumz, has sparked discussions on his social media platforms after he posted a brief video featuring Zari Hassan, the mother of two of his children, which he described as ‘Sister and I.’
The footage, depicting the pair hand in hand before departing together, led to a surge of reactions from his followers, puzzled over the new term used for the mother of his children.
Moreover, speculation arose regarding the emotions of Zuchu, Diamond’s current partner, upon witnessing her significant other refer to his former partner and the mother of his children as a sister.

Zari, a Ugandan socialite and businesswoman, ended her relationship with Diamond in 2018.
Following their split, Diamond released a song confessing his infidelity as the reason for their relationship’s downfall.
On the ‘Young, Famous, and African’ show, Zari disclosed that she decided to leave the marriage after obtaining evidence of the singer’s unfaithfulness.
“You gave me away…Baba T you know I was here for you, like I would deny for you, I would take a bullet for you, but every time I did that for you, you did the opposite, me and your kids were being attacked, I had nowhere to hide. When these people start producing receipts of your behavior, and what you did, and the receipts are in our faces, I pull out and say yes he did it.”
However, Zari, alongside her partner Shakib, Zuchu, and Diamond, recently shared a meal together, an occasion Zari referred to as a ‘blended family moment.’
During this gathering, Zari and Zuchu exchanged warm interactions, such as hugging, giving each other kisses on the cheek, and celebrating with a champagne toast.
