Kakamega Senator, Dr Boni Khalwale, is once again in the limelight as his daughter embarks on her journey in Junior Secondary School (JSS).

This news comes just two weeks after celebrating another daughter’s outstanding performance in the recently released Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) 2023 exams.

Taking to his social media accounts on Monday, January 22, 2024, the politician, affiliated with the Kenya Kwanza Government, announced his daughter’s enrollment in the JSS.

The JSS program is implemented under the new Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) education system in the country, following primary pupils’ completion of the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA).

While commemorating his daughter’s milestone in joining JSS, Senator Khalwale urged the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) to release KPSEA exam results in a timely manner.

“We urge the KNEC to release the KPSEA results timeously. Our little Sonia Inuni Khalwale savours day one in Junior Secondary School,” the outspoken politician wrote on his X account.

Expressing gratitude for his child’s academic success, he shared a photo of the joyful child dressed in full school uniform along with her KPSEA results.

“I thank God the Almighty for the blessings and my entire family for the support that each and every one is giving to Inuni”.

The KPSEA 2023 marked the second time these exams were administered in the country under the CBC.

Inuni’s KPSEA certificate revealed exceptional scores, with Exceeding Expectation in English Language, Meeting Expectation in Kiswahili Lugha, and Exceeding Expectation in Mathematics.

In Integrated Science, further subdivided into five, she passed with Exceeding Expectation in Science Technology and Meeting Expectation in Agriculture.

Additionally, in Home Science and Physical Health Education, she scored Exceeding Expectation in each, respectively.

For Creative Arts and Social Studies, the Senator’s daughter, popularly referred to as the Bull Fighter, achieved Exceeding Expectation marks in all four mini-subjects: Social Studies, Arts and Crafts, Music, and Religious Education.

According to the certificate, she joined Kakamega Hill Junior School.

Apart from lauding his daughters’ achievements in KCSE and KPSEA 2023, the Senator celebrated another child in 2022 who excelled in the form four national exams, scoring an A- with 75 points.

The same year, a twin brother to the daughter garnered a C+ of 47 points.

In 2021, the Senator also celebrated a son for achieving a B+ with 67 points in KCSE.
Over the years, the politician has consistently shared his children’s academic achievements online.
