EXCLUSIVE: Actor Ken Ambani explains why he is a gym enthusiast

Veteran actor Kenneth Ambani has explained his love for staying fit.

Speaking to Nairobi News, the County Executive Committee member (CEC), Mombasa county says he has managed to handle a lot of issues psychologically because of working out.

The Kovu actor was once an executive member of the Kenya Body Building Federation some time back.

He even went into professional body building at some point.

He works out for two hours, three to four days a week mostly doing the treadmill for 30 minutes, then do weights for an hour then stretch for 15 minutes, and he is good to go.

“The physical is what carries the face and so I need to put it in good shape for the spirit of Ken to do what God purposed me to do,” he explained.

Ambani said one can only do so much when they are physically and intellectually stable.

He said the gym helps him do that and he can maximize his potential and therefor has become a lifestyle.

When he was in the Body building Federation, he says he used to work out competitively but stopped and now do it as a lifestyle and to keep himself healthy.

Ambani was appointed to serve as a County Executive Committee member (CEC) Mombasa by governor Abdulswamad Sharrif Nassir in March, 2023.

Ambani is now the Public Service Administration, Youth, Gender, Social Services, and Sports executive.

He says sports have kept him very stable and healthy.

He encourages Kenyans to make sports a part of their lives.

“You will run away from the doctor if you remain sporty and it will also help you never feel stressed.

It is a whole package, I will encourage people to keep walking, running, going to the gym and keeping their bodies active.”

He said through his appointment, he will preach in Mombasa County.
