Former minister Lenku’s father passes on
Father of former Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph ole Lenku passed away Monday morning.
The death of Mzee Lenku Ole Mpaa was announced in a statement by State House.
President Uhuru Kenyatta sent a message of condolence to the family of the deceased.
The deceased rose through the ranks of the provincial administration to reach the position of Senior Chief.
President Kenyatta described him as a Maasai leader who contributed to his community’s development.
“Mzee Ole Mpaa had the virtue of being a good organizer with excellent administrative skills,” the President said.
“His death is not only a big loss to his family but also to the nation, which he served with commitment and dedication,” President Kenyatta added.
