How fallen musician Ally B helped Akothee get baby daddy Dominic

Renowned Kenyan singer Akothee has opened up about the intriguing story of how music played a vital role in bringing her and her third baby daddy, Mr. Dominic Decherf, together.

Akothee, a mother of five, paid tribute to the late Mombasa-based artiste, Ally B, whose music resonated deeply with her.

She credited one of Ally B’s famous songs, “Maria,” with having a hand in connecting her with her partner, Mr. Decherf.

Expressing her gratitude for the influence of music in her life, Akothee fondly reminisced:

“Thank you very much for the part you played in my life—the laughter, the encouragement, thank you for giving me a husband. Your song ‘Maria’ made Ambassador fall in love with me. You know we used to joke about it, Dominic would be greatly hurt if he heard you had left.”

Akothee met Mr. Dominic Decherf a decade ago, and they shared a romantic journey before parting ways.

While expressing her regret for not keeping in touch with Ally B in recent times, Akothee explained that she, too, had been preoccupied with trying to balance the complexities of life.

She acknowledged that Ally B’s departure had saddened her heart and that their shared experiences, including trips to Europe, had revealed the essence of humility.

“Lala Salama Bro,” Akothee offered in her farewell to Ally B, who had passed away on Wednesday, 1 November.

Reports suggest that the talented musician was rushed to hospital after complaining of feeling unwell.

Fans and celebrities alike took to social media to mourn the loss of the superstar.

Ally B had ventured into politics, vying for a Member of the County Assembly seat in Junda Ward, Kisauni, Mombasa County, under the Jubilee Party ticket in 2017.

Reflecting on his brother’s health, Ally B’s younger brother, Mohammed, revealed that his sibling had been ailing for the last two weeks.

“He was diagnosed with pneumonia but he recovered. A few days ago, he started complaining of breathing problems and looked weak. His blood pressure was also very low, but doctors managed to stabilize it,” he explained.
