How ‘previous’ relationship left Akothee depressed
Esteher Akoth, the songbird singer known by her stage name as Akothee, says she once suffered from depression before she met the love of her life.
“I suffered from depression after parting ways with the man who came before my husband,” said the musician.
Akothee made the revelation in an interview with the Wedding Show, aired by Citizen TV every Sunday.
According to the Kula Ngoma hitmaker, she had to give herself time to heal from the blow.
“I gave myself a break to heal from the heartbreak. Then, all of a sudden I got back on my feet, and now I am married. I am Mrs. Dennis,” she narrated.
The mother of five has been boasting of her new husband, calling on her fans to now acknowledge as Mrs Dennis ‘Omosh’.
Her dude hails from Switzerland, and another wedding is expected in the month of July 2023 in Switzerland.

She tied the knot with her mzungu fiancée Dennis Schweizer, who she has nicknamed ‘Omosh’.
Although best known for her socialite status, Akothee is a successful businesswoman. She is the proprietor of Akothee Safaris, a Kenyan based Tour Company, the Akothee Foundation, a charity organization and Aknotela and Akothee Homes, a real estate business.
Her wedding was attended by the who is who, ranging from the top government officials, world of politics, entertainment and music industry.
They include Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa, Azimio leader Raila Odinga’s wife Mama Ida Odinga, MP Felix Oduor aka Jalang’o among others.
The 39-year-old musician has been at loggerheads with her opponents who question her decision to settle down with her mzungu husband.
She says Mr Dennis makes her happy and that she has chosen him over billionaires who offered to make her a wife.
