Indian Prime Minister Modi to visit Nairobi on Sunday
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Nairobi on Sunday as part of his five-day Africa tour.
The Premier will be in the country for one day to have bilateral talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to the Indian Express, the other four days of the visit will be spent in Mozambique, South Africa and Tanzania.
He will also spend a day each in Mozambique and Tanzania, with two days reserved for South Africa.
President Kenyatta visited India for four days in October, 2015 to attend the India-Africa Summit held in New Delhi.
Ahead of the summit, President Kenyatta met with PM Modi for bilateral talks where he extended his invitation to Kenya.
India’s High Commissioner to Kenya Ms Suchitra Durai in January 2016 announced that the PM Modi had accepted President Kenyatta’s invitation and would visit the country later this year.
