Jalang’o bids farewell to Hot 96 with emotional posts
Comedian and radio show host Felix Odiwour, popularly known as Jalang’o, has called it quits at Hot 96 radio station.
In a series of Instagram posts, the celebrated comedian announced that he has left the station, but fell short of stating why and where he is heading to.
“Last Friday was my last day at @hot96fmkenya I must say it’s been a ride and a half… 1 year 4 amazing months of hard work and delivery,” Jalang’o wrote.
The comedian also paid glowing tribute to his bosses at the radio station, with special mention to veteran broadcasters Fred Afune and Waruru Wachira.
“I want to take this special opportunity to thank The entire Family of Royal media especially The hot 96 Team. Very special mention to Fred Afune who believed in me and assured me that this will work even when no one believed,” he wrote.
He also had very nice words for his co-host in the station’s breakfast show, award-winning journalist Jeff Koinange.

Up until his last Friday, Jalang’o, alongside Jeff, hosted the station’s immensely popularly breakfast show, The Hot Breakfast.
In yet another lengthy post, he also thanked the producer whom he worked under during his eventful tenure at the radio station.
“You know how you wake up and find someone soo amazing @cynthia_mwangi As your boss! Yes that’s what happened exactly 1 year 4 months ago! Yaani this lady is the most amazing… understanding person you can ever meet!” Jalang’o wrote.

Jalango then ended the post by saying how regretful he is that he would not be working with her anymore.
“Boss Lady I’d choose you to be my boss any day! I love you and you know I do! Sad we won’t be working together but all said and done, the show must go on! SMOOOOOOOOOKING! LOVE YOU @cynthia_mwangi,” wrote Jalango.
Already his co-host Jeff Koinange has shared a poster that only captures him as the only host for the breakfast show at Hot 96 with a new hashtag #JeffInTheMorning from the old one #JeffandJalasInTheMorning.
