Jericho All Stars, ASEC Huruma star in Sakaja Super Cup

Jericho All Stars easily defeated neighbours Hakati Sportif 2-0 in an entertaining contest at the Hamza grounds, in one of the 45 games of the Sakaja Super Cup played on October 10, 2023.

In Mathare Sub County, Asec Huruma beat Huruma Youth 2-0 in a thrilling Huruma estate derby while
Langata witnessed an exciting clash as Prison secured a 4-2 victory against Underwater FC.

In other games played in Mathare, Lula FC beat Marine 3-0, Shofco Mathare lost 0-1 to Wakanda as Comrade FC edged 2-1 against Shanties FC.

Also, Imara fell by a solitary goal against Faith Homes FC, as Pool FC played out a one-all draw against Mlango Kubwa United.

Meanwhile, Huruma Sports beat Mathare Hospital 0-1 while Moroto Sportif drew one-all with True Colours, as Sagan FC Shilia 2-0 while All stars won 3-1 over Madoy FC.

In Kasarani sub-county matches played at the Muhuri grounds, Kamulu United drubbed Amosanders 7 – 3 with Chege Samuel scoring twice in the 18th and 80th minutes, for the winning team.

In other fixtures, Made in the street beat Wolfsburg 4-1 as Ruai Sportive emerged victorious winning 2-1 against opponents Kasarani Midhill. Plan B overpowered Maaji FC 2-1.

In Westlands Sub County matches played at Githogoro Grounds, Potters beat Uthiru Vision 2-0 while
Gachie Friends drew 1-1 with Kibagare Sportive.

Gullyside FC was felled by Kibagare Slums, coming in the wrong end of a 2-0 scoreline, as Karura Greens FC beat Kitisuru All Stars 2-1.

The six-week tournament, which will be contested across all wards in the capital, is bankrolled by Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, with the aim of exposing and nurturing talents.

The winning teams will share a Sh6 million prize.
