Kenya Power suspends payment of electricity bills through Posta
Kenya Power Limited has indefinitely put on hold all postpaid customer bill payments through the Postal Corporation of Kenya (Posta).
On Friday, the electricity company asked its customers to pay their bills at banking halls and other payment points.
“The payments mostly on electricity bills through the postal service provider remains suspended until further notice from the electricity supplier,” Kenya Power tweeted.
However, the company gave no explanation for their action.

This is the second time the national electricity distributor is suspending bill payments through Posta.
In 2015, they took a similar action, alleging that Posta was not remitting money collected from customers on time.
Customers were then allowed to go back to paying their electricity bills at Posta after the two companies renewed their agency agreement.
