Kenyans nostalgic on abolished ‘Moi Day’ holiday
Kenyans on twitter were on Monday sentimental as they reminisced on the abolished Moi Day holiday that used to be marked on the October 10 every year.
Moi Day was removed from the list of Kenyan national holiday following the promulgation of the new constitution of Kenya in August 2010.
On Monday however, some felt the holiday should not have been abolished, while some used the day to honour the second president of the country by wishing him well.
The hashtag was the number one trend on Monday morning.
