Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli on Thursday visited his ailing wife who is admitted at the country’s national referral hospital.
President Magufuli was pictured standing beside Mama Janeth’s hospital bed inside the Muhimbili National Hospital’s Sewahaji ward.
In other photos, the President is seen visiting other patients admitted at the hospital as well as speaking to the medics.
The photos, shared by Tanzania’s State House officials, went viral online and elicited mixed reactions.
In Kenya, users drew the comparison of a Tanzanian first lady and that of a local politician admitted at a public hospital.
Kenyans injected some humor in the unfortunate incidence.
Tanzanians too noted the trust their President had in the country’s medical services.
