Mama Sarah Obama arrives at JKIA to welcome President Obama
United States President Barrack Obama’s grandmother Sarah has arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, seven hours before her grandson’s arrival.
Mama Sarah Obama landed at the JKIA aboard a Kenya Airways plane from Kisumu a few minutes after midday on Friday.
She was immediately led to the VIP lounge within the facility together with a handful of close relatives amid tight security.
They were accompanied by Kisumu Town East member of Parliament Shakir Shabbir.
Mama Sarah will be among the people to welcome President Obama when he lands in Nairobi.
