Controversial Kikuyu musician Muigai Wa Njoroge has ignited yet another controversy with the release of his latest song, Nyagacu, which translates to “an immoral and restless woman.”

The song’s release follows closely on the heels of an announcement from his first wife, Njeri, who recently announced that she had walked out of the polygamous marriage.

Njeri shed light on the challenges she endured during her decade-long marriage to Muigai, particularly after he took Queen Stacey as his second wife.

In the new song, Muigai appears to address the recent breakup, lamenting the presence of an immoral woman who contrasts sharply with his obedient wife waiting for him at home.

He advocates for discretion in handling domestic affairs, suggesting that wise individuals refrain from airing their grievances in public.

“When you hear homes are like ropes with strong ties that are only untied by the involved parties… a wise person is always minding about the children. Who knows how to keep domestic affairs safe and can’t utter destruction,” he sings.

Muigai also explains his silence, attributing it to advice from a friend who counseled him to remain quiet.

“I was consoled by my friend, who reminded me that exposing oneself offers no solution,” he says.

“He urged me to maintain composure, as unseen resolutions will unfold in due time. I rejoice like a calf freed from the burdensome chains of waiting for an immoral woman, as she wanders among undesirable company.”

Meanwhile, Njeri has indicated that she plans to drop her estrange husband’s name.

In an interview with Kameme FM, Njeri spoke about the challenges in her marriage and confirmed her separation from the gospel artiste.

She acknowledged that Muigai as a responsible father, but stated that her decision was informed by the need to prioritise her well-being.

“We tried (to save the marriage) but I realised I will be a sad person as it had started taking a toll on me again and I was going back to alcoholism,” she said.
