December 19th, 2014 1 min read

The drama in the 11th parliament during Thursday’s special siting gave Kenyans on Twitter a lot to talk about.

Photos of Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama with torn trousers generated a hilarious thread of memes comparing his pose when the photo was taken to Kim Kardashian’s poses on the red carpet.

Other memes showing his exposed behind were created further fueling the discussions on what went down in the House.

There was another one showing Muthama running across some plains after the Parliament fight.

In yet another one the politician was portrayed as if at a fashion event where the red carpet host is asking ‘what designer he is wearing.’

Senator Muthama’s name became one of the top trends in the country with thousands of tweets discussing him.

Senator Boni Khalwale who was with him in parliament tweeted, “Arrest me or strip senator Muthama @nduyamuthama but we will not give up on our motherland #OccupyParliament.”

On his twitter account, Senator Muthama did not comment on the incident but mentioned that Khalwale’s arrest was meant to intimidate them.

By Friday, all top trends in the country were in relation to the happenings in Parliament with #HouseofShame leading.
