Kelis, known for her vibrant personality and hit single “Milkshake,” was recently spotted navigating Nairobi’s Central Business District, particularly the infamous traffic, as seen in a video shared online a few days ago.
The video captured the artist carrying ‘Uhuru’ bags filled with shopping, playfully psyching herself up to navigate the bustling streets.
Amid beeping horns and crowded streets, Kelis shared a moment of humor as she mentioned, “Pedestrians don’t have the right of way.”
She then demonstrated her agility by running across the road, likening the experience to playing ‘Double Dutch,’ a game involving two jump ropes turning in opposite directions.
“Guess where I’m at now!?!? Pro tip! Pedestrians do not have the right of way, you better move fast and look both ways,” Kelis captioned her video, showcasing her adventurous spirit in exploring the city.
Kelis is currently on a tourism tour in Africa, having recently visited Zanzibar before making her way to Nairobi.
In Zanzibar, she was filmed shopping for groceries in an open-air market, showcasing her culinary side as a chef alongside her musical endeavors.
The American artist’s visit has added a touch of excitement to Nairobi’s vibrant atmosphere, creating memorable moments for both locals and visitors alike.
