A popular relationships and marriage talk show that took Botswana by storm is set to premier in Kenya.

The ‘Talking with the Thabas show- an unscripted talk show by Ashley Thaba and Percy Thaba- covers topics ranging from relationships, marriage and family in Africa. In a press statement issued by ENM Group on February 22, 2023, the show will particularly debut in Kenya this month which they consider the month of love.

“We are humbled and excited to have the opportunity to enter over 41 million Homes thanks to BAZE by Safaricom. Our prayer is that, as we allow everyone into our marriage and life, it will encourage millions of families – with practical tips, on how to become Healthier and Happier.” said Ashley & Percy Thaba.

The first and second seasons of ‘Talking with the Thabas  will premiere on Baze.co.ke courtesy of the Thaba’s worldwide Distributor – YAKWETU™, who began supplying Safaricom with short Films and television programming in December 2022.

“YAKWETU in Kiswahili means both ‘of us’ and ‘for us’ – and that’s our brand promise as we distribute and retail wholesome homegrown content from Africa to Africans on the continent and in its diaspora. We are thrilled to welcome the Thaba’s into our rapidly growing family of content creators from across Africa”, said Ms Trushna Buddhedev-Patel, the  Co-Founder, Content Director & Chief Executive Officer at YAKWETU.

In a statement on Ashley Thaba’s website, she and her husband, an interracial couple, have been married for 20 years, and they share their practical life experience in an exciting and entertaining way to help other couples strengthen their marriages. Ashley is an American transplant to Botswana and her husband is a Botswana national.

The ‘Talking with the Thabas’ show takes the format of question and answer sessions whereby they answer unscripted questions from a studio audience to give it the reality show feel. This format is also used to give viewers and the audience a genuine peek behind the scenes into a real couple’s marriage – whether the good or bad.
