Several families left homeless after night inferno razes Korogocho slums
At least two dozen families were on Tuesday night left homeless after fire destroyed their houses in Korogocho slums in Nairobi.
The fire broke out on at around 9pm and took more than two hours to be put out, according to the Kenya Red Cross.

Area residents said by the time the fire brigade contained the fire it had already caused extensive destruction.
The Kenya Red Cross said that three casualties were evacuated to hospital and that assessment will be conducted on Wednesday by their Nairobi teams.

Some of those affected spent the night at the nearby St Claire Primary School.
The cause of the inferno is yet to be established.
