‘Sijawachwa mimi…’ Karen Nyamu to fans after Samidoh’s family reunion in the US
Nominated senator Karen Nyamu has addressed fans tagging her in posts regarding Samidoh’s recent visit to his wife, Edday Nderitu, in the United States.
On January 21, Samidoh landed in Boston, Massachusetts, where his estranged wife and their three children reside.
The singer received a warm welcome from his family at the airport, with the couple’s eldest daughter, Shirleen, sharing heartwarming photos of the reunion.
“Wow, what a beautiful day, my daddy is finally here. We missed you, daddy. Welcome to Boston,” Shirleen expressed in the shared photos.
Upon Karen Nyamu’s return to Nairobi from China, she posted a photo on her Facebook page, leading netizens to flood the comments section, referencing Samidoh and his wife.
“Kanairo kumbe mlikua mumenimiss. Nairobians, so you had really missed me?” Karen humorously responded to the mentions.

Commenters jokingly informed her about Samidoh’s visit to Boston with his wife.
In response, Karen stated, “Both he and the babies needed that. We are happy for them.”
Addressing speculation about her relationship with Samidoh, Karen refuted any notion of being dumped, stating:
“Hehehe kwani sisi tumewachana? Nyi mnaeza ona vile mnaona tu, but me naona a loving dad who takes his role as a dad seriously. (Hehehe, have we really parted ways? You might see it the way you see it, but I see it differently). Our babies are lucky.”
In response to a fan mentioning Samidoh’s greeting from Boston, Karen affirmed that they are very much in communication.
“We are very much in communication mama,” Karen assured, dispelling any assumptions and emphasizing the positive co-parenting relationship with Samidoh.
Samidoh’s wife, Edday Nderitu, relocated to the United States in April 2023, forging a new chapter in her life.
However, in June 2023, Edday made it clear that she had no intentions of reconciling with Samidoh, the father of her three children.
The revelation unfolded on social media when a concerned fan, Kamau Mpesa, disapproved of Edday’s host, Bernice, advocating for Edday’s return to her husband.
Edday, in response, urged the fan to revisit a previous lengthy post she had made in February, where she candidly expressed her reservations about raising her children in a polygamous marriage.
