Bongo artiste Mr Nice commends Diamond for carrying on his legacy

Bongo Flava veteran Mr Nice has showered praises on Diamond Platnumz, declaring that Diamond is the torchbearer of his musical legacy from the past.

Mr Nice was interviewed on the Jana na Leo TV show, where he reflected on the present state of the music industry.

The Fagilia hitmaker expressed his confidence that even if he is dead, his fans will not miss him because they could witness his essence through the musical journey of Diamond.

Mr Nice explained that Diamond’s current activities, ranging from his fashion choices to private jet travels and global impact, resonate with Mr Nice’s experiences from back in the day.

“In my time, chartering a private jet for a show was normal. Boarding a plane alone and going to the United States was like going to the market and coming back for me. The things Diamond is doing now, even if I die, Mr Nice will continue to exist through Diamond,” he said.

Defending Diamond’s choice to showcase his life on social media, Mr Nice asserted that when an artist reaches a certain stature, they must undertake certain actions to establish their greatness.

“People say, oh, Diamond is bragging but he’s not bragging! This is his time, and these things are possible, not because he’s faking it, but because this is his moment. Whether you like it or not, Diamond is the one in the spotlight now. What can you do? Maybe hang yourself,” he asked.

Mr Nice fondly recalled a time when he had substantial wealth, to the extent of casually carrying money in the trunk of his car.

However, he acknowledged that times and circumstances have changed, and what was once normal may not be feasible now.

Expressing his aspirations for collaborations with emerging artists, Mr Nice specifically expressed his desire to collaborate with Diamond Platnumz, recognizing him as a key figure in the current music landscape.
