STYLE BY SHARY: Strapless Elegance

Hey guys! I hope you’re enjoying your week so far. I’ve had these pictures for this shoot for a while now and I thought it was about time I posted them. I randomly bought this dress just a day before the shoot and couldn’t resist the urge to do a post about it. This is such a typical everyday look for me because I happen to love black and white a bit too much.

It’s a midi strapless dress with silver metallic detail on the bust. What I loved the most about this dress was the detail. I’m not a big fan of strapless dresses because I find them hard to wear but I decided to make an exception with this one. (Also, please excuse my fake tan: Nairobi weather has been merciless to me)

When wearing strapless dresses make sure your hair is up to show off your shoulders and add on a pair of statement earrings when accessorizing. Also make sure you find a nice fitting bra that will hold your girls up well so that they don’t look like they’re all over the place.

Midi dresses are great for any body shape or size but you have to be careful with the length. Make sure it’s not too long especially for short structured girls because it brings out the illusion that you’re actually shorter than you are. If it’s too short then that’s basically a mini skirt/dress and you can’t really achieve this look with such length.

Strapless-III Strapless-VFor shoes, I went with animal print pumps just to break the monotony of the black and white and also add a little bit of color to the outfit. I got the shoes at Mr. Price for 2400 shillings which I considered a bargain since pumps usually go for around 3000 shillings or more depending on where you buy them.

This is more of an official work look so if you’re looking for comfort-ability ditch the heels and put on a pair of flats. Add on a sweater on the chilly days and a jacket for a night out.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post, please feel free to leave a comment! Enjoy the rest of your week loves.

Yours Fashionably,

Shary.
