Brian Chira, a well-known social media influencer, was arrested last night (July 27) after making defamatory accusations against Azziad Nasenya.

Azziad’s lawyer said Chira’s defamatory words during a recent live TikTok session led to immense distress for Azziad.

In a video shared on social media, Chira uttered unprintable words against Azziad, which were highly defamatory.

Chira leaked Azziad’s private phone number, resulting in strangers bombarding her with abusive calls and messages.

Azziad’s lawyer said that her client decided to pursue legal action against Chira due to the severe damage to her reputation and brand.

Since the incident, Nasenya has been subjected to an influx of unwanted calls and messages, many of which contain insulting and offensive content.

Her lawyer cited the Computer Misuse and Cybercrime Act as the basis for taking legal action against Chira.

“Sometime last week, Chira went live on TikTok at night, and the topic was Azziad. He uttered some words which I cannot repeat here, but those words are defamatory, and he did not stop there. He went ahead and gave out her number.

For the past week, my client has been receiving many calls and messages, some of which are insults, and my client was not happy.”

The investigating officer and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) are conducting thorough investigations into the matter before deciding on the appropriate course of action.

If the evidence supports the allegations, Chira could face formal charges in a court of law.

From police custody, Chira acknowledged his actions, expressing remorse for his offensive behavior.

He revealed that Azziad reported the incident to the police, which led to his arrest.

“I insulted her online and she reported it to the police, talk to the officer he will explain, all I was asking is for you to assist,” Chira could be heard talking on the phone from police custody.
