Tragedy: Toddler falls down 8 floors while playing
Police in Embakasi is investigating an incident where a two-year-old minor died after falling from the eighth floor of a building while playing with friends.
Mr Mark Eristas, was at work when he reached out to police at Muthangari Police Station, reporting that the minor, identified as Blessing Mumo, had died.

“He reported that the children were playing along the staircases when she slipped and fell from the eighth floor of the building,” a report seen by Nairobi News read in part.
Mr Eristas then asked that the minor is rushed to the hospital as he went home, and she was taken to Force Memorial Hospital.
The deceased was treated by doctors at the casualty wing when she died.
Doctors said that she sustained serious injuries on her head, both internal and external, which led to her death.
“The scene was visited, body was photographed before the body was taken to Force Memorial Hospital Morgue awaiting a postmortem,” the report further revealed.

Meanwhile, hundreds of people have been rendered homeless after fire gutted down over 400 mabati houses in Laini Saba, Kibera, in Nairobi County.
However, nobody was injured in the incident, and a team from the Nairobi County fire brigade contained the fire.
Ms Mary Amani, affected by the fire incident, said she could not salvage any of her properties.
“All I did was carry my baby and run to safety, since I did not have anyone who could assist me carry her, I opted to watch from far as neighbors tried to put the fire off,” she said.
Ms Amani said she did not have any other place to go as she asked the county government to work with the area MP and help them build new houses.
