The University of Nairobi Council on Monday said the institution is not broke.
Vice Chancellor Prof Peter Mbithi however acknowledged that the university has been experiencing financial challenges after the government reduced its budget allocation.
Prof Mbithi also termed as “untrue and an exaggeration” a story carried by Standard newspaper that claimed the university had been censored by the Commission on University Education (CUE) for issuing undergraduate degrees and doctorates to persons whose thesis were written by other people.
