University of Nairobi ranked best in Kenya
University of Nairobi has been ranked eighth out of 15 best universities in Africa by the Times Higher Education.
Makerere University in Uganda came fourth and best in the East Africa region.
Institutions from seven African countries featured in the ranking, with the University of Cape Town emerging top followed by the University of Witwatersrand and Stellenbosch University – all from South Africa.
The ranking is published ahead of the second Africa Universities Summit, to be held at the University of Ghana from April 27 to 29.
