Watchman killed by church robbers in Kayole
Burglars armed with crude weapons killed a watchman guarding a church in Kayole during an early morning break-in.
A second watchman has been admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital in serious condition.
Three hooded men had stormed into the compound of Gospel Explosion Church in Njiru and attacked a resident living in the compound as well two watchmen guarding the premise.
The resident, John Mutua Kaloki, managed to escape and reported the matter at Njiru Administartion Police camp.
Police officer who visisted the scene found the two watchmen having deep cuts on their heads.
The two were rushed to Mama Lucy Hospital where one of them succumbed to his injuries. The other was rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital in serious condition.
Police have not yet established what was stolen during the incident.
