Yaya doubtful for Guinea match
Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Youre is a doubt for his team’s opening match of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations against Guinea on Tuesday with a suspected calf problem.
The 29 year old trained separately from the rest of the squad during Saturday’s session at the Estadio la Paz de Malabo and spent plenty of time with team physio who massaged his right thigh for long spells.
The technical bench of coach Herve Renard later refused to comment on the Manchester City midfielder’s situation and his chances of playing a part in the team’s opener.
Ivory Coast are also pooled alongside Senegal and Cameroon in Group D of the competition.
