Ruto joins Kenyans in mourning legendary musician Ally B
President William Ruto has led Kenyans in mourning the loss of renowned coast-based musician, Ali Khamisi Mwaliguli, popularly known as Ally B.
The Head of State eulogized Ally B as an artist who had dedicated his musical career to the promotion of peace and harmony within Kenyan society.
“I join the music fraternity in mourning the passing of Ally B, a musician who harnessed his talent to foster unity and harmony in our society,” President Ruto stated.
“Ali Khamisi Mwaliguli inscribed his message of peace deep within our hearts, and we will forever carry that meaningful tune. May God provide solace to his family, friends, and devoted fans during this difficult time.”
Ally B’s passing came after a short battle with illness, and he was declared dead at Makadara Hospital in Mombasa.

He had been rushed to the hospital after complaining of feeling unwell, leaving the nation in shock and mourning the loss of one of its most cherished musical talents.
The singer is known for his hit songs “Maria” and “Bembea.
His music resonated deeply with Kenyans from all walks of life, making him a household name across the country.
In addition to his musical contributions, Ally B ventured into politics and contested for a Member of the County Assembly seat in Junda Ward, Kisauni, Mombasa County, representing the Jubilee Party in the 2017 elections.
