Akothee to her hubby: Don’t dare cheat on me!

Songbird singer Esther Akoth, better known by her stage name Akothee, has fired a warning shot at her new husband, saying she won’t tolerate infidelity in marriage.

The two lovebirds tied the knot on April 10, 2023 in a colourful wedding held at the Windsor Hotel in Nairobi.

Although they have not revealed any cases of infidelity, Akothee has told her husband that all she wants in their union is honesty.

“I only date one man at a time and I also expect my man to have one woman,” the Kula Ngoma hitmaker told her mzungu husband, Mr Dennis Schweizer, on Sunday 23, night.

Akothee had gone live on her official Facebook page to open the wedding presents.

“Take it from me. You can take it to the bank. I am not cheating. If you find me cheating, please take revenge,” she vowed.

The singer had fun entertaining her fans virtually.

The live stream had background music as the two danced and hugged happily.

She has nicknamed her Swiss-born husband Omosh.

“I’m married now, not single. I am married to this sweet gentleman,” she insisted to her followers as she sang.

However, Akothee assured her bae: “You have got a truthful woman who does not flirt with men.”

“But you know men are very cunning,” the mother-of-five said.

The couple are also expected to tie the knot again in Switzerland in July this year.

Their Kenyan wedding was graced by the who’s who of the world of politics and entertainment, including Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa, Azimio leader Raila Odinga’s wife Mama Ida, MP Felix Oduor aka Jalang’o and other leaders.

Fellow musicians and comedians were also present.
