Bishop Wanjiru claims miraculous healing for legs days after church demolition

Jesus Is Alive Ministries’ Bishop Margaret Wanjiru, a United Democratic Alliance movement political ally, claimed miraculous healing for her legs days after she was injured during the partial demolition of her church.

In her statement issued on March 17, 2024, the outspoken politician claimed that a young man prayed for her legs and she instantly got healed during a church service at her church.

Seated at the dais in a stately chair and covered in a shawl, a video was recorded of the young man kneeling before her then proceeding to hold on to her legs and fervently praying for her.

In the aftermath, Bishop Wanjiru was aided to her feet by a handful of aides and she began walking about the dais in praise of Jesus for her healing. Previously, she had been using crutches to move around.

“Today I got so encouraged when a young man called Oscar decided to exercise his faith by praying for my legs to get healed. I received my miracle instantly and started walking! Sometimes even we who pray for others need the prayers. The word that we preach to others must also work for us. It is very encouraging to see the next generation walking in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, indeed revival is here with us! To God be the Glory!” said Bishop Wanjiru.

The healing comes one week after part of her church buildings were demolished. She claimed shadowy government operatives had descended on her church and “illegally” demolished her church. The part which was demolished was part of government land being reclaimed by Kenya Railways which is situated behind her church in Nairobi’s Central Business District.

In the melee of the demolition, Bishop Margaret claimed she was assaulted and got injured on her hands and legs, and her staff were beaten until they bled.

She went on to accuse the Kenya Kwanza government of repaying her campaign efforts with violence, and that she couldn’t believe they could do this to her.

Two days after the demolition, she held a press conference and cursed those who were behind the demolition. In her message, she went on to remind President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua that she campaigned for them but they repaid her with injured arms

“Believe me, you will look for me. You went for Benny Hinn in America; you will look for me. And I am not moving, and I am not going anywhere. You have started a fight that you cannot fight. This one is in the heavens. We have lived in this community, but in all these years, we have never fought. You are using the MD in Railways. I pity his family. Because as I cried yesterday and today, even his family plus yours are not exempted. My tears will pay,” said Bishop Wanjiru.

In the days following this presser, she went on to soften her tone towards the Presidency, saying she had nothing but respect and love for them.

“I have much respect and love for His Excellency Dr William Ruto, our Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and their families. We started this journey towards building a better and more prosperous Nation together and we shall finish well, together,” said Bishop Wanjiru.
