Her calm demeanor and adeptness in the kitchen have garnered attention from netizens.

This viral moment can be traced back to a few years when Charlene stirred controversy with her account of her hustle during her university days.

At the time, Charlene revealed she sold smokies (sausages) and eggs to sustain herself like many other students.

“I was in Daystar University, and smokie kachumbari was the only thing that was selling. I was encouraged to take up the small business,” Charlene recounted.

The revelation faced skepticism from some quarters, with individuals dismissing her claims as untrue given her prominent family background.

Charlene stood by her account, stating:

“There are witnesses. It is true. It’s just that I don’t have photos from then.”

Addressing the controversy surrounding her statements, Charlene clarified that she shared her story during a discussion on savings and investment with university students, intending to inspire them with her personal experience.

“I thought to encourage them and tell them my story when I used to sell smokie kachumbari at Daystar,” Charlene explained.

She expressed gratitude to those who supported her amidst the accusations of dishonesty.

The resurgence of Charlene’s college hustle story, coupled with the viral video of her culinary skills, highlights her resilience and entrepreneurial spirit.

Despite her privileged background, Charlene’s willingness to engage in small business ventures during her university days underscores her determination to sustain herself independently.
