Content creator Sharon Mundia explains her relationship with Patricia Kihoro

Kenyan content creator, Sharon Mundia, has put to rest rumors about her relationship with actress Patricia Kihoro.

In a recent Q&A session on her YouTube channel, Mundia addressed fan inquiries about the nature of her relationship with Kihoro, stating that they are just friends and have never been in a romantic relationship.

A fan inquired, “Has your relationship gone beyond friendship?” To which Mundia responded that the two have different personalities.

“We are not in love with each other. We do not have a romantic relationship. If we were dating we would have broken up a long time ago.”

During the session, the two explained that they have grown to be good friends who create safe spaces for each other to be open about their lives.

“I don’t get jealous of Patricia’s friends and this is because I understand, my space in her life,” said Mundia.

Patricia said she has fears of abandonment, not being good enough to help whenever she can in their friendship.

“This happens to even my other friends and I am working on with my friends.”

They both agreed that their friendship feels like almost being in a relationship with somebody because of how strong it has grown.

“When someone says Mundia is my soulmate, I get it because she is someone I can’t live life without you Sharon, I can’t.”

Mundia, who was previously married to Lonina Leteipan, also spoke about keeping her love life private.

She explained that her ex-husband requested that their daughter should not be posted online.

“I don’t show my daughter and I don’t show my relationships.”

In July 2020, Patricia Kihoro said her efforts to keep her love life private were the sole reason that led to speculations that she was a lesbian.

Despite media reports in 2017 that she was in relationships with a famous female Kenyan rapper and another media personality, the 34-year-old clarified that she has always dated men but preferred to keep her relationships out of the public eye.

“For the longest time, I was dating men. If you go through my Instagram over the years I didn’t even hide. I would post people but it wasn’t like lovey-dovey stuff, if you were keen you would see who I was dating at the time.

I would post them in the context that this is somebody in my life but I wouldn’t reveal in what way they are in my life. I think of how private I kept that side of my life, people then speculate, start to make up things,” Kihoro said.
