Daddy Owen’s cherished memories of Ngashville on singer’s anniversary

The gospel music fraternity is commemorating the first anniversary of gospel hip-hop artiste, Anthony N’gan’ga, who was popularly known by the stage name Ngashville.

Gospel singer Daddy Owen, a close friend of Ngashville, has recalled how he stood by Ngashville’s bedside during his final moments as all effort by medics failed to save his friend’s life.

Daddy Owen has also reflected on the profound impact that Ngashville’s departure had on him.

“It was a time like this last year when u passed on… I remember standing there beside your bed… my perspective changed from that day… somethings became clearer. Continue resting in peace Ngashville,” Daddy Owen said on social media.

Ngashville succumbed to food poisoning that affected his liver and kidneys.

The artiste fell ill in August 2021 and despite seeking medical attention and receiving treatment, his health only got worse.

Daddy Owen, recounting the events leading to Ngashville’s passing, explained that efforts to resuscitate the talented musician were valiant but ultimately unsuccessful.

The medical team worked diligently to stabilize Ngashville, diagnosing him with a severe blood infection that had devastating effects on his kidney and liver functions. The late Ngashville left behind a widow and three children.

Dunco, a fellow bandmate, also penned a heartfelt tribute to Ngashville, recalling their cherished memories.

“Ngash spirit continue to inspire us, reminding us to cherish every moment and hold unto the bond of friendship. Gone but never forgotten,” Dunco wrote.
