Diamond Platnumz bags award at MTV EMA 2023
Tanzanian superstar, Diamond Platnumz emerged victorious at the MTV EMA Awards 2023, securing the highly sought-after title of ‘Best African Act.’
The Tanzanian sensation conquered fierce competition from top African artists, including Nigeria’s Burna Boy, Asake, Tyler ICU, and Libianca.
Adding to the celebration of African talent, Nigeria’s own Rema was also honored with the award for the best in Afrobeats.

Although the event faced an unfortunate cancellation in 2023, Paramount, the network responsible for the MTV EMA Awards, has announced plans to reschedule the ceremony for November 2024.
