Diamond unveils ex-lover Sarah who inspired his song, ‘Kamwambia’ – Watch

Wasafi CEO and Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz has revealed his ex-lover to the audience.

During a recent performance, the renowned artiste brought his ex-girlfriend only identified as Sarah onto the stage and reminisced about their previous relationship, opening up to his fans about their shared history.

Diamond revealed that they had been romantically involved for 15 years, highlighting Sarah’s significant role as the inspiration behind his chart-topping song “Kamwambie,” which played a pivotal role in his rise to fame.

Expressing his emotions, Diamond said: “I wrote this song from a deeply personal experience. There’s a lady I hold dear, and I saw her here; her name is Sarah. She is the very reason I sang ‘Kamwambie’.”

As Sarah made her way onto the stage, she shared a shy embrace with Diamond, her hand partially covering her face.

Reflecting on their younger days, Diamond fondly recalled how he saw her as a Beyoncé-like figure, captivating him to the point of infatuation.

He also revealed that Sarah was married.

“At the time she was young. She is shy, you know she has a family right now, this is Sarah. I used to love her so much. At the time, I used to look at her like she was Beyoncé; she drove me crazy. She gave me character and developed me, I wrote this song because of her,” Diamond said.
